Maternity Style: 2nd Trimester

So, here I am half way through my pregnancy…wow it just seems to fly by until that final month! I am showing a lot more at this point than I was with my first pregnancy, but I have heard that tends to be the case. I am still somewhat in that awkard stage of feeling like I just look fat vs. actually being noticeably pregnant, however my bump is really starting to take shape!

I put together a few looks to share how I am getting through the 2nd trimester in non-maternity styles (minus jeans, can’t avoid that) while still flattering my changing figure and growing belly!

I will be avoiding shopping maternity throughout the remainder of my pregnancy, allowing me to have many more stylish options while remaining budget conscious.

This cape style blazer is the perfect option for both work and going out to dinner!  Leaving it open will allow your bump to show while still slimming your torso, and the vented sleeves keep you from becoming too warm (hello constant body temperature changes!)

Blazer: BCBGMaxazria

Jeans: a pea in the pod

Shoes: Sam Edelman

Necklace: Express

A drop-waist is an ultra flattering shape for a growing bump, allowing it to be accentuated.  I will be wearing these dresses to the weddings and events I have coming up.

Pink dress: Victoria Beckham x Target

Black dress: Bailey44

Crystal necklace and earrings: Lola Accessory Boutique

Black and gold ladder pendant necklace: House of Harlow 1960

Flowy dresses are a pregnant woman’s dream, especially in the warmer months! Just make sure to show off some leg if you’re going oversized to avoid that “paper bag” look.
